FAQ - How do you grade?

Gradings are done centrally by Sensei Herbert with other clubs within Jikishin Jujitsu.

They are held every three months - details of dates and venues are shown in the Calendar section.

You will take you usual training partner along and the examiner will ask to see a set moves from with the syllabus. Then it is your partners go. You repeat this until you have shown all the moves in your particular belt. You will be in group of anywhere from 10 – 30 grading together.

To be honest, its not the pupils on test at Gradings, it’s the clubs and their teachers. If you are not good enough to grade, its your teachers fault for putting you in for it in the first place. Because of this, no teacher will risk putting you in unless they know you will pass.
